We are pleased to announce the official musical lineup for The Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown 2010!
Palmetto Bug Stompers, Loose Marbles, Cotton Mouth Kings, Meschiya Lake & Dem Little Big Horns, Washboard Chaz Blues Trio, The Tomcats 12-Piece Dance Orchestra, Tuba Skinny, Luke Winslow-King.
That's 8 bands for your dancing pleasure! With a line-up like this the floor is guaranteed to be packed.
We are also pleased to announce the teacher line-up for Sundays Swing Dance workshops. Weekend ticket holders can drop-in on several classes in various styles of swing & jazz dances as well as question an answer sessions with our dance masters.
Norma Miller, Sugar Sullivan, Chazz Young, Lennart Westerlund, Jenny Deurell, Peter Loggins, Mia Goldsmith, Mike Faltesek, Juan Villafane, Judy Pritchett, DancinMan 504 (Darryl Young) and more to be added soon.
After class, stay to enjoy our usual Sunday evening Frenchmen Street Dancing. Just a typical night in the Birthplace of Jazz!

BIGGER after hours venue! After getting some complaints about not enough space during after hours last year, we are are happy to announce The Maison on Frenchmen Street as our official Late Night venue. Two floors of hardwood, full bar & cheap FOOD for purchase, pool tables, balcony overlooking the stage & dance floor, and LOTS of Room for DANCING.
Below you will find some EXTRA PARTIES for those who purchase a weekend ticket to ULHS BEFORE August 1st. YOU CANNOT BUY TICKETS FOR THESE ACTIVITIES. Entrance into these "extras" will be at random draw. Note: Some of these parties have changed since the last announcement.
*Coffee & Tea Party Saturday at noon with free food and drink in a historic New Orleans home on Royal Street.
* Vintage Hair & Make Up Session before the Saturday night dance for Ladies Only. Food will be provided.
* Saturday Pre-Dance Poolside Coffee & Cocktail Party. Shoe Shines for Men & Women available!

ONE MONTH AWAY! Sept 30th-Oct 4th 2010 - New Orleans
Its coming up quick and we cannot begin to tell you how excited we are! We are proud to say a lot of what happens at ULHS is spontaneous, improvised, and inspired. We hope to pass that spirit on to you whether it be in class, in a contest, on the social floor, or just walking the streets of New Orleans. We're not going to over explain what that means or how we do it. We just hope you come experience it for yourself!
